1. Concept

DiningCity is the leading international restaurant guide with a clutter-free database of carefully selected restaurants across the globe. It includes maps, menus, reviews and ratings. After successfully launching DiningCity in The Netherlands in 1998, countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia followed. South Africa was added late 2012 and currently hosts 600+ of South Africa’s best restaurants.

DiningCity is also the proud organizer of various culinary events including Restaurant Week, a worldwide successful concept which gives guests the chance to dine at top restaurants for a discounted set menu price. The second edition of the Restaurant Week South Africa will take place from 24 October – 3 November 2013. The success of DiningCity is based on the clear presentation of its restaurants. The website is easy to navigate; each restaurant’s presentation has been brought back to the most important features, which include:

  • Easy booking request system
Secondly, DiningCity strives on the reviews and ratings of its guests, who help each other decide where to dine next. Anyone can review a restaurant by rating cuisine, service and atmosphere and writing a short explanation. Guests who made a booking through DiningCity are invited to review their experience automatically after their visit to the restaurant.
